The Pioneer DJ Opus Quad is absolutely awesome! If you thought DJing was already cool, this bad boy takes it to a whole new level. Four channels? Check. Super responsive jog wheels that make you feel like you're the king of scratching? Double check. And the sound quality – guys, seriously, it feels like your tracks come straight from heaven. The part is not only an eye-catcher with its stylish displays, but also makes everything so easy. Whether you're just starting out or already the boss of your club, the Opus Quad will make you look and sound like a real pro. Effects, beat synchronization, everything is there. In short, the Opus Quad is like your best friend in the DJ booth. He never lets you down, makes your skills shine and ensures that your parties become legendary. A real must-have for anyone who wants to do something great when it comes to DJing!

This isn't a controller - it's a monster

The Opus Quad is a monster! Everything is super intuitive. I just find myself pressing the control stick every now and then to load the song into the deck. I was used to this from the CDJ, but it works here with the two load buttons below the control stick. The sound quality is on par with the Pioneer mixers A9 and V10 (all devices have an ESS chip), even if they are completely different machines. After initial skepticism and getting used to it, I'm currently falling in love with this most powerful controller I've ever purchased. The functions of the touch display when using Recordbox sticks are great and I hope Serato DJ expands the software functions a little more for this controller. Switching from the Roland DJ707-M was absolutely worth it due to the better sound quality, easier operation, huge display and the use of sticks. The weight and price are of course steep, but you get a DJ musical instrument of an extremely high level. Scratch DJs will definitely miss some features (including performance pads, toggle switches, etc.). The Opus Quad is therefore aimed more at quality-oriented mobile DJs with pioneer experience, club/bar operators, private party hosts or studio DJs with high standards. I am very happy with the Opus Quad. My Pioneer DJ studio is now complete and brings joy every day. Where to start with this device? I think first of all about the sound, because this is probably the most important criterion. All I can say about that is absolutely sublime and I would say right away with the A9. The V10 feels like the last 10-15% are still missing, but what are we talking about here. Sound = 1A & no discussions. One can argue about the design, one mags, the other doesn't. Features - yes - he just doesn't have everything on board. But what he has is completely sufficient to enable classic mixing in an extremely luxurious way. This is exactly what the device wants to be. Not that you can only really accelerate the sound technically, but for such wild 1 million button presses and fader crackers who want every single function 1:1 from their software, I would simply recommend another device. (Please don't forget - this device is standalone) I would describe this device as very professional. As I said, not all functions are available, but what is there is just so hard to the point. eg. The translation from wheel pitching alone (checking the brakes, etc.) is so smooth and just perfect. It's great fun to do manual beat matching or to work with the device in general. The display is bright and reacts flawlessly (as you know it from an iPad). Navigating the collection is extremely smooth and you also have a lot of sorting and search options. Processing is generally great according to the price, but not so that you (at least as an old hand) are completely blown away. (Newcomers definitely out of their socks) The feel is good to very good. The coating on top of the wheels is a kind of rubber - (roughly like that on table tennis bats, only very thin) We can only hope that it won't start to stick in a few years. The preview function has a decent volume - so that it is in harmony with all signals you have to set the gains at +3-9 dB. That's also where the opus has its sweet spot of sound. So not 0db. The headphone output has a lot of pressure and if desired you can blow your hearing into nirvana. The FX blades are perfect as usual in the classic Pioneer style. The operation and channel assignment including the option with the FX Pad via the display is super strong. Conclusion. If you don't value having every knick knack and don't necessarily want to be the performance hero in front of the Lord, but love sublime, detailed, effective work and thus want to let your music speak as a performance. He should definitely take a closer look at this device. For my part I am very happy with it. WORK-WHAT

I didn't buy the Opus from Recordcase.de, I'm only rating the controller here after a week of testing. Bottom line, it's worth every penny. For the people comparing it to the Prime 4, yes it doesn't have a lighting controller but I also want a DJ controller and not an LJ desk. As for the controller itself, the part is just amazing, even I haven't figured out all the functions after a week. The display and the JogWeels are a dream, the effects are awesome, everything works great and the sound quality has also increased a lot. The design is a matter of taste, I bought it first and foremost because it really is a 4-channel standalone controller. I like the look of it better every day. The purchase was definitely a good decision
