With the Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX10, you get a 4-channel controller that combines modern performance features with the familiar club-style layout from Pioneer DJ. The model works with rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro, giving you full control over four decks, and is aimed at anyone who wants to do more than simply transition cleanly in their set. Particularly striking are the Track Separation function, the expanded on-jog displays, the revised MAGVEL fader, and the built-in DMX output for lighting control directly via rekordbox.
Creative access to every track
One of the most noticeable new features is Track Separation. This lets you separate vocals, drums and instruments within a loaded song and access individual components directly and specifically. This opens up new ways for live remixes, spontaneous mash-ups, and transitions that reach much deeper into the material than classic mixing techniques.
What’s practical is that you don’t have to change your usual way of working. You load your tracks as you normally would from the library, then decide directly in the mix which elements you want to use, combine, or edit with effects. Especially for open formats, edits, and performance-heavy sets, it gives you more freedom while you’re playing.
More focus on the set
The large 170 mm jogwheels provide a direct, precise playing feel and give you enough surface area for fine adjustments, long pitch bends, and controlled scratch movements. On top of that, the expanded on-jog displays show you, depending on your needs, deck information, waveform, artwork, or your DJ logo. This keeps important content closer to your hand position.
When combined with the Feeling-Adjust control, you can tailor the responsiveness of the jogwheels to your style. This makes the controller not only flexible, but also pleasant for everyday use when you switch between clean mixing, cue work, and performance-focused interventions.
Tools for clean transitions
With Mix Point Link, you plan transitions with significantly more control. You set defined mix points in your tracks and ensure that the next track starts automatically at the right moment and cleanly on the beat. This saves time during preparation, and is especially helpful when you want your set to be tightly structured musically.
The revised MAGVEL fader also supports this kind of precise working. The 4-sensor system responds especially sensitively to movements and gives you exact control over volume contours and crossfader actions. Together with 14 Beat FX, 6 Sound Color FX, and the 2x8 performance pads, you get very direct access to key performance functions.
Lighting, software and setup without detours
The built-in DMX output is a strong argument if you want to integrate lighting directly into your setup. You can connect compatible lighting without an external DMX interface and use rekordbox for coordinated lighting effects. This is especially interesting when music and lighting are meant to work closely together.
There are also two USB-C ports for simultaneous operation with two computers, switchable line/phono inputs, and an extensive connection section for fixed or changing setups. The controller unlocks rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro as soon as you connect it, so you can get started without an additional hardware dongle. An upgrade to DVS is possible if required.
