I had compared 5 different monitors: Adam T8V, Yamaha HS8, Kali LP8, Kali LP6 and these. The Adams were too reserved for me everywhere, in contrast to my A7V in the 2nd studio. The HS8 were already very, very good, but the bass was booming for me without end, then the Kali LP8 were perfect, mercilessly dry in the bass, great mids and highs, but unfortunately too big, so back to the smaller models. Adam dropped out straight away, leaving HS7 and LP6. But the LP6 didn't resolve as well as the LP8 and the highs were also very reserved, which is why the Yamaha was the better choice for mixing, although the highs here are very cheeky and get tiring in the long run.

These monitors are the best I've ever had. The highs and mids are very clean and the bass comes through well. I will be enjoying these boxes for years, if not decades. Very good monitors - unbeatable price!

Ordering, payment, documentation of the order and delivery status as well as delivery of the goods without any problems - as usual from recordcase. Shipping by GLS to Berlin a little slow but very reliable. Unfortunately, despite the perfect and undamaged packaging, one of the two YAMAHA HS7 W was defective. Even without a signal source connected, one of the speakers made a clearly audible "sizzling" noise. Extremely unusual for YAMAHA! After a friendly phone call to customer service, a parcel label was immediately sent by email for the return of the faulty device. You will also be notified by email that recordcase has received the defective device. A few days later (before Christmas!) announcement of the replacement delivery. Delivery and packaging perfect again, replacement speaker works perfectly. I bought the HS7 as an upgrade from 5 to 6.5 inch speakers. They are not oversized for my room (55m³, 4.50mx 3.60m) and do not sound boomy even at a relatively small distance of only 30cm from the wall, despite the rear bass reflex opening in the neutral EQ setting. I really like the mid and high resolution! Overall I am very satisfied!

The best purchase in a long time

My HS7 look very valuable. Are heavy and very well processed. The connections are all clear and sufficient. When I connected and set the boxes, the test came and suddenly I had such a big grin on my face. I love the sound, clear and differentiated, the spatial representation is also very good. Lots of new details in songs I've been listening to for a long time. That's really fun. Low frequencies are completely sufficient for me because I don't own a house. Unfortunately I have no reference to other near field monitors but I love them. Treat yourself to favorites for the price, the best option.

These monitors are great - sound quality is clear and true, no obvious colouration. I'm using them in a small-ish room, but wanted reasonable low end without having to add a sub, so went with the HS7s over the HS5s. Looked at Rokit 6's as well, but preferred the sound from the HS7s and have been really happy with the way they sound in my environment. Delivery to the UK was quick and painless, turned up within 3 days. Overall, awesome product and excellent service.
