When scratching and back-cueing, the stylus must stay securely in the groove even during rapid movements. The Ortofon Concorde Mix MKII is a DJ cartridge with a spherical stylus, designed for these techniques and also suitable for general playback across various music styles. The robust stylus and sturdy aluminium cantilever support use with DJ techniques involving manual record movements. With a recommended tracking force of 3 g, you can set the system to this operating value; the permitted range is 2 to 4 g. The specified tracking ability is 100 µm at 315 Hz. The system delivers an output voltage of 6 mV and reproduces music transparently. The recommended connection values are relevant when integrating it into the phono stage: a 47 kOhm load resistance and a load capacitance of 200 to 600 pF. The stylus is replaceable; the Ortofon Stylus CC MKII Mix is a suitable replacement. The Concorde design uses a bayonet connection (SME) and is intended for turntables with a compatible tonearm mount.
