    With the Technics EAH-DJ1200, Technics finally brings out a real DJ headphone again. As the direct successor of the legendary RP-DJ1200 headphones, the new model has been improved in every aspect. With a newly developed driver with 40mm CCAW voice coil, the new Technics headphones can convince with a clear and detailed sound even in high volume environments.

    The headphones can be folded for easy transport. In use, the 270-degree swivel mechanism offers advantages. The ear pads are comfortable to wear, even during longer sessions and also prevents perspiration.

    The detachable cable with pull-lock also gives you all the comfort you need for your use. A straight 1.2 meter cable and a 1.5 meter spiral cable are included. The Technics EAH-DJ1200 is a DJ headphone with the best sound characteristics that leaves nothing to be desired.

    Great successor to older brother it replaces.
    Nicer ear pads.
    Detachable cable with a spare in the box (comes with one coiled + one flat cable). The detachable cable feature will make me worry less about not breaking it at the jack / adapter (I used to put the mixer over the cable, so the jack and the cable attached to it don't have any tension - imagine old school singers holding a cable microphone - about the same principle).
    The side covers resemble the famous 1210 turntable, but this time they are made of plastic, not rubber. Not sure how I feel about it, but definitely not a deal breaker.
    Loud and tight on the ear as they should be. Keep in mind they will start to feel uncomfortable if you wish to just listen to music during an extended period - these headphones are primarily a DJ monitoring tool and in that respect they to their job with five stars. So just keep them in the bag for your DJ gigs, and get some other headphones for other situations for more comfort.
    Hope they will prove to be as tough as the previous model which I had for about 15 years.
