Neumann KH 120 II AES67

With the Neumann KH 120 II, a compact nearfield monitor is presented that builds upon the successes of its predecessor and has been refined in every aspect. This monitor offers more power, an integrated DSP system, deeper bass reproduction, higher sound pressure levels, and even better resolution. The internal DSP enables linear phase crossovers and room-adaptive alignments with Neumann's groundbreaking MA 1 Automatic Alignment System. (Optional. Not included in the delivery)

The magnetically shielded aluminum enclosure houses a 5.25-inch woofer and a titanium fabric 1-inch dome tweeter. A 145-watt amplifier drives the woofer, while the tweeter derives its power from a 100-watt amplifier. The front of the monitor incorporates Neumann's Mathematically Modeled Dispersion (MMD) waveguide, which contributes to a wide sweet spot and a smooth off-axis response. In a stereo configuration, the KH 120 delivers solid sound images with impressive depth.

The KH 120 II offers a natural frequency response and delivers surprisingly good bass for its small size. Its representation in the mid-frequency range is detailed and informative, neither too forward nor too restrained. The KH 120 II is equipped with a full range of control settings for integration into various acoustic environments. With this speaker, you can make critical EQ and mix decisions with confidence.

The KH 120 II is a true reference monitor and continues the high legacy symbolized by the Neumann badge. This monitor with high sound pressure capability and deep bass extension down to 44Hz provides precise reproduction thanks to extremely low tolerances (±0.5dB) and can be combined with other KH series speakers in immersive or surround setups. With a linear frequency response of 44Hz-21kHz (±3dB), a linear phase response of 120Hz-16kHz (±45°) with latency of less than 2.6 ms, and a maximum sound pressure level (half space, 3% THD at 1m) of 116.8dB SPL, the KH 120 II demonstrates its capabilities.

The acoustic principle is based on bass reflex with front panel openings. For optimal adaptation to the room, the KH 120 II offers analog and digital inputs as well as various EQ settings.

The KH 120 II AES67 model version offers a special feature: it comes with integrated redundant AES67 audio communication ports. These ports comply with broadcast standards such as ST 2110 and ST 2022-7 redundancy, and are also compatible with RAVENNA. At the same time, the KH 120 II AES67 is compatible with AES67 network streams generated by DANTE®.
