The unit combines a familiar NXS layout with a large 206 mm jog wheel, a 7-inch colour touch display and flexible media playback. Club feel with no detours
The operating concept is clearly based on the professional Pioneer DJ club series. You work with a large 206 mm jog wheel, logically arranged controls and a layout that quickly feels familiar. As a result, the player is well suited to setups where a clean workflow matters more than unnecessarily nested menus.The 7-inch colour display shows you tracks, waveforms and key control functions directly on the surface. Beat Sync, Hot Cue, Beat Jump and Loop Move are quickly within reach. The detailed waveform display with zoom levels helps you assess breaks, drops and transitions precisely.
Get to the right track faster
With browsing, the XDJ-1000MK2 especially shines. Using the touchscreen, the rotary control and search functions, you can find music based on criteria such as artist, BPM or genre. With Track Filter and Matching, you can select suitable follow-up tracks more targetedly when your music has been prepared in rekordbox.Auto-Fill search and the on-screen keyboard shorten the path to the next track noticeably. This is particularly helpful when you use large USB sticks or extensive rekordbox libraries and need to react quickly during the set.
Open to your music sources
The Pioneer DJ player supports multiple ways to play back. You can use music from USB storage, connected computers or mobile devices with rekordbox. Integration via a Wi-Fi network is also possible if you prepare your tracks in rekordbox for Mac, PC, Android or iOS.With the file formats, the multi-player is versatile. In addition to MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF, FLAC and ALAC are also supported. That makes the unit suitable for classic DJ files as well as for high-quality music archives with 24-bit/48kHz resolution.
More control in the mix
With up to 8 Hot Cues, you jump directly to prepared points in the track. Beat Jump lets you jump rhythmically forwards or backwards without losing the musical flow. The Quantize function helps you place cues and loops neatly on the beat.The Slip mode opens up additional creative options. You can use scratch or reverse techniques while the track continues running in the background. As soon as you release, playback resumes at the appropriate position. It feels controlled and keeps the mix stable.
Strong in a networked setup
Using Pro DJ Link, up to four players or laptops can be connected via LAN. This lets you build larger setups and use rekordbox data as a connected system. The LAN connection, USB Type A and USB Type B, as well as analogue and digital Cinch outputs make the XDJ-1000MK2 flexible for a wide range of uses.The player can also be used as a MIDI controller. If you want even more direct access to performance functions, a Pioneer DJ add-on controller can be connected. Separate power supplies for analogue and digital audio switching circuits support clean signal routing.
