That is exactly what the Korg NTS-3 Kaoss Pad Kit is designed for, bringing the renowned KAOSS control to a compact, DIY effects unit. Shape sounds directly on the X/Y pad The touch-sensitive X/Y pad combines two parameters with a single hand movement. This allows you to shape the effect without navigating through nested menus, letting you react immediately to the moment in your set. Mute, FX Depth and Tap BPM are available as dedicated performance functions; use Latch to hold selected effect movements. The range of effects includes 35 algorithms. In addition to filters, modulation, delay and reverb, there are looper, grain shifter, vinyl break, mastering and OSC effects available, among others. This allows you to process external stereo sources with short accents, spatial transitions or more experimental interventions. Four effects as an individual sound chain Up to four effects can be combined simultaneously, switched on and off individually and arranged in different routings. This turns a single gesture on the pad into more complex changes, for example when filters, delay and modulation work together. 200 performance programs save such configurations for later recall. 100 of these programs are pre-assigned from the factory, with another 100 slots available for your own combinations. Recurring transitions, a specific looper application or a fixed effect chain for a live set remain reproducible without having to reconfigure the settings each time. Open for your own effects and adjustments Using the logueSDK, you can develop your own effect algorithms and load additional content into the device. The Librarian application handles the management and transfer. The kit is therefore not limited to the internal effect library, but can be adapted to your very personal way of working. The casing is also part of the concept. The assembly requires no soldering and is completed in less than 20 minutes. Reversible side panels in metallic black and metallic red then give the small effects unit a look suitable for the studio, desktop setup or stage.
