Product description M-Audio BX4 D4 BT

A compact stereo pair for a desk needs connections for different sources without requiring additional equipment. The active multimedia monitor M-Audio BX4 D4 BT is designed for home studios and computer playback, and combines wired inputs with Bluetooth. One speaker is active, while the second connects via a connection cable.

Sound is handled by a 4.5-inch Kevlar woofer and a 1-inch silk-dome tweeter. The computer-optimised waveguide supports stereo imaging. The MDF bass-reflex enclosure is designed for extended low-frequency playback; take care not to cover the rear bass-reflex ports.

High and Low EQ controls are available to adapt the sound to the placement location, allowing you to boost or cut the treble and bass. A switch on the rear determines whether the active speaker is positioned on the left or right of the stereo field. This lets you adapt the position to your cabling and workstation layout.

For playback devices, there is a pair of RCA stereo inputs, two 6.35 mm TRS inputs and a front-facing 3.5 mm TRS aux input. Alternatively, you can stream audio via Bluetooth; previously paired devices reconnect automatically. The front also has the volume and power switch, as well as a headphone output. The speakers are muted when headphones are connected.

After 25 minutes without use, the powered-on system switches to standby mode. Playback resumes as soon as an audio signal is present for a few seconds. With its RCA, TRS and aux connections, Bluetooth and included connection cable, the stereo pair is suited to computer and home studio setups where a compact monitor with multiple connection options is required.
