Product description Sony MDR XB700
A large driver and closed-back design define the sound character of the over-ear headphones with a strong bass emphasis, the Sony MDR XB700. This dynamic model fully encloses the ears and is designed to reproduce deep bass. The 50 mm driver units use a Direct-Vibe construction that supports the acoustic seal.
The particularly thick, pressure-relieving urethane ear pads sit around the ears. Their circumaural padding is designed for comfortable wear; the closed-back design also helps block some ambient noise and limits how much music escapes.
The flat, double-sided cable is 1.2 m long and ends in a gold-plated, angled stereo mini-jack plug. This allows the headphones to be connected to devices with a stereo mini-jack socket. A tactile marking on the left ear cup helps you distinguish the sides when putting them on.
With an impedance of 24 ohms and a sensitivity of 106 dB/mW, the technical specifications are stated for connection to compatible audio sources. The power handling capacity is 3,000 mW according to IEC. A carrying pouch is included for transport and storage.
