For presentations and hosting, the voice should be transmitted clearly and freely, without having to hold a microphone. The wireless clip-on microphone system Sennheiser XSW 2-ME2 A-Band combines a stationary receiver with a bodypack transmitter and ME 2-2 lavalier microphone in the UHF range from 548 to 572 MHz. The omnidirectional clip-on microphone picks up sound from all directions and remains discreet on the lapel. Worn on a belt or clothing, the bodypack transmitter sends the microphone signal to the true diversity receiver with metal housing. External antennas are also part of the receiver's equipment. An LCD display and automatic frequency management with synchronisation via a remote control channel are available for setup. The receiver offers eight frequency banks, each with up to twelve factory-preset channels; frequencies can also be tuned in 25 kHz steps. This allows you to select a suitable channel and synchronise the transmitter with the receiver. Up to twelve compatible channels are intended for simultaneous operation. A balanced XLR output and an unbalanced 6.3 mm jack socket are available for connecting to the PA system. The output level can be switched between line and microphone level; the transmitter adjustment range extends from 0 to −30 dB in 10 dB steps. The squelch threshold is also adjustable and operates via pilot tone. Two analogue audio outputs make it easier to integrate the system into different setups. The receiver is designed for stationary operation or rack mounting; the rack mounting kit is included.
