Product description Sennheiser EW 135P G4 E-Band

For interviews and on-camera presentations, the voice needs to be recorded freely while the receiver is mounted directly on the camera setup. The Sennheiser EW 135P G4 E-Band combines a camera receiver with a handheld transmitter and a dynamic microphone capsule with a cardioid polar pattern. The wireless link operates in the specified E-band and, according to the product specifications, has a range of up to 100 metres.

The EK 100 G4 camera receiver can be attached to a camera using the supplied CA 2 adapter. Its 3.5 mm output transmits the audio signal in mono and unbalanced; suitable cables for connecting to a camera or XLR input are included in the set. The receiver uses Adaptive Diversity and offers menu-guided setup.

The dynamic MMD 835-1 with cardioid polar pattern is fitted to the SKM 100 G4. Its directional pickup favours sound from the front. The receiver and handheld transmitter can be synchronised via the infrared interface; settings can also be accessed directly through the devices’ menus. An automatic button lock prevents accidental changes.

For wireless operation, up to 1,680 reception frequencies are available per frequency range, in 25 kHz steps. The receiver offers 20 frequency banks, each with up to twelve preset channels, as well as one bank with up to twelve programmable channels. The specified E-band frequency allocation is 821–832 MHz and 863–865 MHz. Typical operating time is up to eight hours with two AA batteries.

The set is suited to mobile video recording, reportage and on-camera presentations where a wireless handheld microphone and direct camera mounting are required. Receiver, mounting bracket and connecting cables are included; this makes it easy to integrate the wireless link into a camera or recording setup.
