Product description Numark MIXTRACK MKII
When DJing with a laptop, decks, mixer and performance controls should be within easy reach. The 2-deck DJ controller Numark MIXTRACK MKII combines two virtual decks with a central mixer section and controls for pads, effects and track navigation.
You can switch the 16 illuminated pads between Loop, Sample and Hot Cue modes. This lets you trigger samples, set or control loops and call up cue points. For sound processing, 16 effect knobs are available, for effects such as Flanger, Phaser and Echo. Pitch and Sync buttons help you match tracks.
The two illuminated jog wheels respond to touch: scratch using the top surface, or stop the track by placing your hand on it; adjust the pitch using the sides. The touch-sensitive wheels let you handle scratching and tempo control on a single control surface.
The centre section houses the crossfader, 3-band EQ and controls for navigating your music library. The connection to your computer is via USB, which transmits MIDI control data. The device is USB-powered and class-compliant for Mac and PC, with no driver installation required. It has no built-in audio interface; use your computer or a separate audio interface for audio output.
VirtualDJ LE is included; over 380 sounds from Prime Loops are also available to download. Thanks to standard MIDI, you can also use the controller with other DJ software, provided it supports suitable MIDI control. It is a suitable control centre for laptop-based setups with two decks, direct pad and effect control, and a separate solution for audio output.
