Product description Neumann EA 1
Vibrations from the stand can enter a microphone recording as low-frequency structure-borne sound. The Neumann EA 1 is an elastic microphone suspension that mechanically isolates the microphone from the stand to protect it from impact noise and shocks. It is designed for the Neumann models M 147, TLM 102, TLM 103, TLM 127 and TLM 193.
The microphone is inserted into the inner basket from above and secured with a knurled nut. This holds it securely in the suspension. The swivelling stand connector makes it easier to position the microphone without having to remove the shock mount from the stand.
The EA 1 has a 5/8"-27 female thread; a thread adapter for stand studs with 1/2" and 3/8" threads is included. This allows it to be mounted on standard stand threads. The nickel finish is made entirely of metal.
As an elastic suspension, the EA 1 is suitable for studio recordings with compatible Neumann microphones when you want to reduce structure-borne sound from the stand and position the microphone so that it can swivel. When choosing, check the microphone model and the stand connector required.
