Products by: MagicFX

An effect must fit the moment. MAGIC FX builds equipment and consumables for confetti, streamers, CO₂, fog, smoke, and reveals. The brand is aimed at DJs, clubs, stages, event organizers, and technical service providers who want to visibly implement a planned highlight.

The focus is on controllable stage effects: confetti for the drop, a CO₂ blast as a short accent, fog to thicken the light, or a falling curtain for a reveal. The devices are intended for use on stage, on the dance floor, and in event setup. The decisive factor is less about the biggest effect than about a sequence that fits the venue, the rigging, and the on-site area of responsibility.

Effects as part of the sequence

MAGIC FX comes from the Netherlands; the development and manufacturing of the special effect products take place at their own site. The brand therefore combines consumables, triggers, machines, mounting accessories, and control systems into clearly defined effect types. This is practical because, with a stage effect, the device, suitable content, power supply, and mounting must be considered together.

For event practice, three questions are particularly important: What is supposed to happen visibly? How long should the effect last, and how is it triggered safely? A short confetti or streamer shot sets a punctual accent. A blower distributes material over a larger area. Fog and CO₂ effects, on the other hand, work with clouds and movement, while a drop system releases a curtain, a banner, or a comparable setup.

Confetti and streamers: material and release go together

Confetti and streamer effects are the defining area of MAGIC FX. Handheld cannons are suitable for a direct moment in the audience or on stage. Electric cannons work with suitable triggering units and can be integrated into a show sequence. For larger areas, blowers and fans are an option, which do not simply eject the material but distribute it in the room.

When it comes to material, colour is not the only deciding factor. Shape, size, and falling behaviour influence how long confetti remains visible and how it appears under light. Streamers draw clear lines and remain easy to read during a short shot. Slowly falling confetti stays in the picture for a moment longer. Biodegradable variants can be a sensible requirement depending on the venue, but they do not replace the check of local regulations for cleaning, disposal, and use.

Smoke, CO₂ and air: atmosphere needs control

MAGIC FX separates CO₂ machines, fluid-based fog machines, and systems with special effect fluid. These groups look similar from a distance but have different requirements. With a CO₂ jet, the cylinder, hose, connection, and safe setup are part of the system. The effect also depends on ambient conditions and the gas used.

A CO₂ effect is not a decorative accessory. Device position, discharge direction, accessibility, noise, cable routing, and approval by the venue or event management must be clarified before use. With fog, in addition to the appropriate fluid, ventilation, alarm systems, and visibility must also be considered. For a DJ evening, a targeted effect may be enough; for a production with light and video cues, however, a coordinated control system is required.

Reveal and wind as technical tools

Drop systems from MAGIC FX are designed for Kabuki-style reveals: a curtain, backdrop, banner, or flag is held and released at a defined moment. Such effects only work cleanly if weight, suspension, and release path are checked in advance. The option of switching via suitable power or DMX components facilitates integration into a planned show but does not replace professional installation.

Fans and blowers have two tasks. They generate independent wind effects and can carry confetti, snow, or streamers further. Airflow is part of the effect: direction, distance, and speed determine whether the material stays in the desired area or gets into the audience, equipment, and escape routes uncontrollably.

Which MAGIC FX solution fits the event?

Effect idea	Suitable product world	What you should pay attention to
Short, clear highlight	Handheld or electric confetti and streamer cannons	Determine trigger type, range, material, and the clear area in front of the discharge.
Large-scale distribution	Blowers and wind machines	Coordinate airflow with room size, stage position, and amount of material.
Dense cloud or short jet	CO₂, fog, and effect machines	Check consumables, connections, ventilation, fire safety, and responsibilities.
Reveal on cue	Drop and Kabuki systems	Test load, suspension, release path, and control before setup.

If you are combining effect technology with lighting, PA, or stage elements, it is worth taking a look at the Lighting & PA section. There, the remaining components of an event can be sensibly supplemented without planning the effect device and infrastructure separately.

For whom MAGIC FX is useful

The brand fits particularly well when the effect is not meant to happen by chance, but is part of an announcement, a music cue, a countdown, or a reveal. Handheld solutions are interesting for manageable, direct tasks. Electric systems, DMX-capable components, and permanently mountable devices show their strengths as soon as multiple effects need to be repeatable and synchronized with the event schedule.

Before purchasing, you should first translate the effect into a technical list: desired effect, indoor or outdoor, audience distance, mounting location, available connections, control, consumables, and cleaning. These points determine the appropriate device class more reliably than pure power or range specifications. Especially with CO₂, fog, flames, suspended loads, and high-angled discharges, the requirements of the venue as well as the responsibility of the expert operators also apply.

MAGIC FX stands for specialized show effects, whose impact is created by the combination of device, material, and setup. If the moment is properly planned before the event, the effect can be integrated into the production in a suitable manner.
