Product description Korg Volca Sample OK GO Edition

Build OK GO sounds directly into your own beat: the digital sample sequencer with 100 pre-installed sounds lets you do this across ten parts and a 16-step grid. The Korg Volca Sample OK GO Edition contains samples from the album “Hungry Ghosts”, which you can edit and combine with your own sound ideas.

You can change the samples’ start point, length, tone, pitch and volume, among other things. To use your own recordings or other audio files, you need a transfer tool: AudioPocket for iOS or a compatible third-party editor. Transfer takes place via a stereo mini-jack cable; you cannot record samples directly on the device.

Create sequences using step input via the 16 buttons or record them in real time as you play. With Active Step and Step Jump, you can skip steps or jump directly to them; Swing changes the groove’s timing. You can record up to ten patterns and combine them into song arrangements.

You can record and play back movements of the parameter knobs as a Motion Sequence. This lets you change sound parameters as a sequence plays. The Analog Isolator adjusts the bass and treble, while Reverb and Reverse offer further sound-processing options.

Designed for use on a table or on the go, the device has a built-in speaker and runs on six AA batteries; an optional KA-350 power supply is also available. MIDI In, Sync In and Sync Out let you integrate the sequencer into a setup and synchronise it with other Korg Volca and Electribe models. The headphone output and sync connections are provided as 3.5 mm mini-jack sockets.

This limited edition is a good fit for compact hardware setups where OK GO samples, your own sequences and direct operation via step buttons are required. Battery operation and the built-in speaker also make it suitable for mobile jamming without a separate monitoring system.
