Subwoofers and passive satellites can be powered together when the power amplifiers are already housed in the bass enclosure. The Dynacord PowerSub 315 combines a 15-inch woofer with four integrated digital power amplifiers and a total output of 2,000 W. Amplification for subwoofers and satellites is housed in a single unit.

You can connect up to four passive speakers, each with an impedance of 8 ohms, to the two satellite outputs, with up to two per side. Connections for up to two passive 8-ohm subwoofers are available for additional bass support. The MODE switch adapts the power distribution to the selected configuration; when operating with only the internal subwoofer, it receives 1,000 W at 8 ohms. The system can connect up to six speakers when they have suitable impedances.

The active crossover separates the bass range from the satellites and can be set to 80, 100 or 120 Hz in three steps. This lets you adapt the crossover to the tops you are using. A separate SUB-LEVEL control adjusts the level of the subwoofer. You can adjust the crossover frequency and subwoofer level directly on the unit.

For the input signal, there are balanced left and right inputs that can be connected via XLR or 6.3 mm jack plugs. The parallel THRU connections pass the respective signal on, for example, to a second PowerSub 315. Signal and clip LEDs indicate the input signal status and level. Stereo inputs with pass-through signal make it easier to integrate the system into an existing signal chain.

Four wheels and two handles assist with transport; an integrated pole-mount flange allows you to mount a connecting pole for satellites. The black enclosure weighs 39 kg. The model is an interesting option for mobile satellite PA systems if you want to connect passive tops directly, adjust the bass level and crossover frequency, and connect additional passive subwoofers when needed.
