Disco Antistat Record Cleaning Unit - 2. Gen

Plates clean again.

Bought the Antistat 2. Have no comparison to other devices, but the Knosti cleans the records nicely. The crackling is completely gone or at least alleviated on some records. If the record is scratched, it is scratched! The Knosti can't do magic either. But the cleaning results so far are great. Absolutely to be recommended, especially when you consider that the Antistat 2 currently costs less than 90 euros.

The Knosti Disco-Antistat - 2nd generation is basically like the good old Knosti. The crank thing works fine for me. With the old Knosti you could turn the record both to the right and to the left. The new Knosti only goes to the right, which is possibly an advantage. I can imagine this is better for the brushes. Of course, it is now a little more time-consuming to prepare for the washing process and afterwards, because you have to close the retaining clips for the axis of the crank and then open them again after washing. But you get used to it. The result is very good. The records are very clean and no longer have any noise caused by dirt and other deposits. The only thing that slightly bothers me is that I can hear a grinding noise when turning, which comes from the fact that the sealing switches rub against the housing. But that's not a real problem. My overall rating is good to very good.

Patent

Of course you pay for the patent, the material is mainly plastic, it seems to me to be solidly processed. With the result, I am very satisfied. The plates really look like new after washing and old windows crackle much less. Expensive part, but given the result I would recommend it, other hobbies are more expensive than maintaining old LPs, which you can sometimes get really cheap.
