When scratching in Digital Vinyl mode, the resistance of the record helps determine how the deck feels. The Pioneer DJ MAGVEL CLAMP is the replaceable clamp for the PLX-CRSS12 and adjusts the torque feel: use the rotary dial to make the record feel lighter or heavier without having to change the slipmat or slip sheet. Place the clamp on the PLX-CRSS12 and press it down firmly. Then turn the dial towards LIGHT or HEAVY to reduce or increase the torque of the control disc. This setting is for adjusting the feel; the turntable’s three stop speeds are not selected on the clamp. The MAGVEL CLAMP can also be used with a standard analogue record. In HEAVY mode, it acts as a stabiliser. It is not suitable for 45 rpm records with a large centre hole; it requires the standard small centre hole, which the clamp fits. Designed as a replacement for a lost or damaged clamp, this model is compatible with the Pioneer DJ PLX-CRSS12. A cover for the adhesive surface is included when the clamp is purchased separately and protects it from dust and scratches.
