Which audio carriers?
Obvious: You first need to know whether you are looking for a case for records or for CDs.
Records are real collectors' items that delight with their warm, full sound. You cherish them like a treasure. It is very important to store records properly in order to protect them permanently from external influences. This applies both to storage at home and on the way to the next gig.
CDs are also sensitive sound carriers. Therefore, the CD storage case must always be stable and clearly sorted. It should also protect against heat, moisture, dust and shocks. Since CDs are smaller and lighter, there is room for more music in just one case than with LPs.
Storing or transporting? This is what you need
What exactly do you intend to do with your record case? The shape, size and equipment of your record case will depend on this.
Storage and stowage
Storing record cases: What you need to keep in mind
To store your CD or vinyl collection and preserve it in the best possible way, you need a record case in which your sounding treasures can stand untouched for a long time without being damaged. This means that the sensitive recordings must be reliably protected from dust, dampness and knocks. If necessary, the vinyl case must also be able to withstand direct sunlight and heat.
The ideal record case for storage
Good transportability is also important, so that the case can be grasped well and put away quickly. Reinforced corners offer even more stability and user-friendliness, while models with feet stand particularly securely and are thus less prone to unsightly scratches.
Transport and appearance
Record cases: made to be on the move
When you're on the road, it has to be a particularly handy model that is both functional and stable. You will definitely find what you are looking for in our large selection of record cases. First of all, you need a very good transportability. Just think: if you're transporting 50 LPs, you'll quickly reach 10 or even 20 kg - including the case's own weight!
Especially user-friendly: the record case trolley
But that shouldn't keep you from your gig. Especially if you regularly move a lot of recordings from A to B, a record trolley is a good idea. Just like a small suitcase, you simply extend the handle and roll it to the next event.
Transporting CDs safely too
For CDs, you can choose between two- and three-row cases. The lid with corrugated foam protects them safely. With vinyl cases, the removable lid usually becomes a second case so you can sort your records on site. Bevelled edges give you even more stability and protection at the front of the open cases. If you don't want to transport a lot of equipment, a record case with an equipment compartment is ideal: the LPs are safely and securely stowed away and you have a microphone, cable or other technical aids immediately at hand.
You want to store more equipment?
If you need to transport a larger volume of equipment or musical instruments, you can find suitable cases and racks in various sizes in our online shop.
The must-haves on a record case
Some things simply have to be right on every record case. Butterfly or flap locks keep your treasures firmly closed. Optionally, you can secure many of our models with a lock. Rubber feet ensure safe transport and absolute slip resistance when used at the party, as well as additional vibration protection.
Handles and latches
For optimal transport, both latches and handles are flat and leave a flat surface. For light record cases, one handle on top is sufficient - larger LP cases are best carried by two people, which is why the handles are mounted on the sides here. The material of the handle should also be appropriate to the weight: With large record cases, you play it safe with a metal handle. For even more stability, the outer corners of your plate case are reinforced with metal attachments or steel ball corners.
Reliable protection inside and out
The continuous interior padding of trolleys and cases reliably protects your CDs and LPs from shocks and vibrations - whether you're on the road or at the party. Your record case also allows quick access to your collection. It also protects your records from the heat of the spotlight, the heat of the shop, drink splashes, cigarette ash and bumps.
