Product description Beyerdynamics Custom Studio
If you want to change the bass level during monitoring without changing headphones, an adjustable acoustic system is useful. The closed-back, over-ear Beyerdynamic Custom Studio uses four sound profiles via bass reflex ports, which you adjust directly on the earcups. It is designed for studio applications and can also be adapted to different listening situations.
The Sound Slider offers the settings “Light Bass”, “Linear”, “Bass Boost” and “Vibrant Bass”. As well as changing the sound profile, the setting also affects isolation: the further the ports are closed, the more effectively ambient noise is attenuated and sound leakage is reduced. This lets you change the profile from restrained bass reproduction to more powerful low frequencies while also adjusting the isolation.
A 3 m coiled cable with a single-sided connection is included; it can be unplugged and replaced. The gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo jack plug is supplied with a screw-on 6.35 mm adapter. The over-ear velour ear pads and headband pad are also replaceable; the special cut-out in the headband pad relieves pressure on the fontanelle area. The rings and covers on the earcups can also be replaced with matching Style components.
A spring steel headband forms the robust basic construction. With 80 Ohm impedance and a closed-back design, these headphones are suitable for monitoring and studio work where an adjustable bass profile, a detachable cable connection and replaceable pads are required.
