Products from: Beyerdynamic
Decades of experience and extreme precision in manufacturing are the basis of the international reputation that is built on beyerdynamic microphones and beyerdynamic headphones. beyerdynamic products are developed in Heilbronn, Germany, to the highest quality standards and are manufactured mostly by hand.
In 1937, the company founder Eugen Beyer invented the dynamic beyerdynamic DT 48 headphones, which are still in production today. With that, he laid the foundation for the development of beyerdynamic GmbH & Co KG into an international audio specialist. In Germany, beyerdynamic has developed and produced innovative solutions for a steadily growing customer base, meeting the highest quality standards. In 1953, a revolutionary development took place for record stores. The beyerdynamic DT 49 handgrip hand-set enabled the famous Record Bars. In 1963, the newly developed beyerdynamic M 88 directional microphone was selected and approved as the only microphone for the official visit of Queen Elizabeth in Australia. In 1980, another sensational new development followed: The dynamic beyerdynamic DT 880 headphones turned tradition on its head. For the first time, a dynamic headphone with electrostatic properties was built.
One of the best studio headphones, the beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro, which has been produced since 1985, was complemented by the beyerdynamic DT-770 M, which has its own volume control—an idea that studio drummers in particular have repeatedly expressed. In 1988, all announcement positions at the Olympic Games in Seoul / Korea were equipped with beyerdynamic headphones and microphone combinations (DT 109). In 1990, beyerdynamic once again demonstrated its expertise in the field of high-quality condenser microphones with the stereo studio microphone beyerdynamic MC 742. In 1996, beyerdynamic developed the world’s first digital microphone. With the beyerdynamic Opus series, beyerdynamic presented an overall concept for musicians. With the new drum microphone line developed for the Opus series, beyerdynamic has truly hit the mark: outstanding sound, extreme robustness, and the refined mounting of the beyerdynamic Opus 99 bass drum microphone, as well as the really ingenious tom microphone beyerdynamic Opus 88. In 2002, beyerdynamic introduced the new generation of the gooseneck. The simple, modern design of the beyerdynamic series 200 and 800 can be integrated into any architectural setting.
beyerdynamic offers a wide range of products for demanding recording situations— in the studio, on stage, for live broadcasts, in radio or television— and includes high-quality, powerful products for every application. beyerdynamic headphones and headphone models, as well as audio/speaker combinations, support professionals in their work at any time, comfortably and reliably. In addition to the classic condenser microphones with cardioid polar pattern, which are often sold as a stereo set, beyerdynamic also offers a range of stereo microphones that are easy to use and deliver excellent results without time-consuming positioning: beyerdynamic MCE-72, beyerdynamic 82 and beyerdynamic MC-833.
With the acquisition of the Hanover-based company interkom in 2006, the portfolio in the field of conferencing technology was expanded to include powerful digital, wired components and individual, customer-specific solutions. In addition, beyerdynamic also acquired, among other things, the patent for Revoluto, a wired digital speech unit without a gooseneck.
