For a wired vocal microphone, a suitable pickup area and a polar pattern that supports monitor operation are essential. The Beyerdynamic TG V30d s is a dynamic supercardioid microphone for speech, karaoke and vocals on stage or in the rehearsal room. Its natural sound and high output level make it easy to use even with simple preamplifiers.

The supercardioid polar pattern preferentially picks up sound from the front and attenuates it by more than 20 dB at an angle of 125° at 1 kHz. For monitor operation, it is recommended to position the stage monitor at this angle to the longitudinal axis of the microphone. This allows you to account for a feedback-resistant orientation during placement.

A treble resonator extends the frequency response upwards. Special sound openings behind the diaphragm support a frequency-independent polar pattern. The frequency response ranges from 30 Hz to 15 kHz for close miking; at a measuring distance of one metre, it starts at 55 Hz.

To speak or sing, you hold the microphone slightly at an angle below your mouth and speak over the upper edge of the grille. The distance influences sound and volume: the proximity effect is more pronounced at a closer distance. A noiseless on/off switch is located on the microphone.

The three-pin XLR connector is connected to a balanced microphone input via the supplied cable. The robust design and the included clamp and bag are suitable for mobile use at gigs, rehearsals and speech events. This makes the microphone suitable for vocals and speech when a dynamic supercardioid with a switch and wired connection is required.
