Product description American DJ Shooting Star LED
A Derby effect distributes moving beams of light over a wide area, adding movement to room lighting. In the American DJ Shooting Star LED, a 10 W TRI-Color LED produces multicoloured beams through 40 lenses; its 112° beam angle covers a wide area.
The RGB light source produces red, green, blue, purple, yellow, cyan and white. Precision stepper motors move the beams, while sequences can be controlled via DMX or triggered using the built-in programmes in Sound-to-Light mode. A strobe function adds to the lighting effects.
Control options include DMX-512 with three channels, Sound-to-Light and Master/Slave. The four-button LED display is used to configure the unit; the lighting effect can be integrated into a DMX connection via XLR. A 6.3 mm jack input is provided for the optional UC3 hand controller, which is not included.
The unit draws a maximum of 20 W and operates on 100–240 V AC at 50/60 Hz. IEC inputs and outputs allow the power supply to be passed on to additional units. The LED is rated for a lifespan of approximately 30,000 hours; its low heat output allows continuous operation without mandatory cooling breaks.
A hanging bracket is included. With its 112° beam angle and wide colour palette, this Derby effect is suitable for mobile DJ setups, event venues and stages where moving, coloured beams are needed without complex programming. For precise sequences, it can be integrated via DMX.
