American DJ Reflex LED DMX

The two moving mirror heads of the American DJ Reflex LED DMX create colourful moonflower effects, with beams spreading across walls and dance floors. Each head operates independently and projects patterns in red, green and blue. The LED light output is comparable to that of two 250 W halogen lamps.

In DMX mode, you control the unit via six DMX channels. These control the dimmer and strobe, among other things, as well as the direction and speed of rotation, patterns and chase effects. A digital display with menu buttons lets you set the DMX address and operating mode.

Without a DMX controller, the Reflex LED DMX can respond to integrated sound-activated programmes or synchronise several connected units as the master. In slave mode, additional units follow the master; two slave options are available for different sequences. An optional UC3 remote control can operate functions such as blackout and the selection of patterns or chases.

For connection to lighting controllers and other effects, the unit has XLR inputs and outputs for DMX or master/slave, as well as an IEC power input and output. The IEC output lets you link identical units in the power supply; according to the user manual, up to 30 units are possible. The LEDs are rated for a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours, and the unit can run without prescribed operating breaks.

The included mounting bracket allows you to install the unit in a suitable location. Fog or effect smoke makes the light beams more visible, enhancing their impact in the room. This model is suitable for DJ and party lighting when you want to combine two moving RGB moonflower effects with stand-alone, master/slave or DMX control.
