Product description American DJ Mega Bar 50

For coloured area lighting on walls or small stages, a slim LED bar is a space-saving solution. The American DJ Mega Bar 50 is a 50 cm-long RGB LED colour bar for indoor use. Its 126 LEDs, each with a diameter of 10 mm, mix red, green and blue, allowing you to create fixed colours, colour changes and smooth fades.

The bar can run independently or be integrated into a DMX control system. On the rear, you can use the four-digit display and four buttons to select programmes and colours and adjust, among other things, the fade time and dimming. You don't need a DMX controller for basic setup. The display can be switched off.

Seven DMX modes are available, with one to seven channels. Depending on the mode, you can control RGB colour levels, colour macros, programmes, strobe and dimmer, for example. In addition to DMX, automatic programmes, Sound-to-Light via the built-in microphone and Master/Slave operation are available. Electronic dimming ranges from 0 to 100 per cent; a colour strobe effect is also built in.

To connect to a lighting desk, you can use DMX-512 via 3-pin XLR connections; multiple units can be linked via XLR. An IEC output on the rear also allows you to pass the power supply on to the next unit. The beam angle is 30 degrees. You can mount the bar using the included hanging bracket.

The Mega Bar 50 is suitable for indoor spaces where you want to set up compact RGB area lighting with standalone programmes or a DMX connection. This makes it a good fit for smaller stages and architectural wall lighting; key features are its short form, seven DMX modes and the option to daisy-chain power and DMX to additional units.
