Product description ALTO TS215

For mobile sound reinforcement where a loudspeaker also needs to serve as a stage monitor, the cabinet shape is crucial. The ALTO TS215 is an active 2-way full-range loudspeaker with an angled monitor position: You can use it upright, on a stand or flown from the integrated M10 points.

The 15-inch woofer and 1-inch neodymium compression driver are powered separately by an active crossover at 2 kHz. The Class-D amplifier delivers 550 watts RMS, split into 350 watts for the low-frequency range and 200 watts for the high-frequency range; peak power is 1,100 watts. The specified maximum sound pressure level is 129 dB peak or 126 dB continuous.

Two XLR/6.3 mm combo inputs accept microphone or line signals. You can adjust both inputs separately using the integrated 2-channel mixer; the XLR mix output sends the summed signal to another loudspeaker. For tonal adjustment, the Contour switch boosts the bass and treble by 3 dB. When switched off, the frequency response remains flatter, for live applications, for example, or when maximum output is required. The Ground-Lift switch can reduce hum and interference.

A clip/limit indicator shows when the protection circuit is active, dynamically limiting the level when the input signal is high. Protection features include electronic clip, overheating and voltage fluctuation protection. The trapezoidal cabinet is made of injection-moulded polypropylene and has a perforated steel grille. Five integrated handles make it easier to carry and position horizontally or vertically.

With its stand mount, flying points and monitor position, the TS215 suits mobile PA and stage setups that call for an active 15-inch loudspeaker with two directly adjustable inputs. It can be positioned on a stand, on the floor or flown to suit the application; the design and tuning are from the USA.
