Wolfmix WING
Wolfmix WING expands the Wolfmix W1 with significantly more direct hardware control for more complex light shows. Eight motorised faders, eight OLED displays, a large button matrix and several encoders give you quick access to groups, fixtures, cues and numerous parameters. The expansion works with Wolfmix W1 MK1, MK2 and MK3 and is integrated into the existing system via USB. Together, they can manage up to eight DMX universes. After synchronisation with a W1, WING can also run prepared shows independently.
Motorised faders with direct feedback
At the heart of the system are eight motorised touch faders with capacitive, galvanised fader caps. Each fader has a light guide with four RGB LEDs that makes assignments and operating states visible. Directly above them are eight monochrome OLED displays, each with 64 x 32 pixels. This keeps parameters and labels clearly visible right next to the relevant control section.
The surface is complemented by an 8 x 5 button matrix, eight group-selection buttons, a main fader, and dedicated controls for OK/GO, Cancel, Shift and Pin. Four encoders, plus separate scroll and fine-control encoders, enable precise adjustments without having to switch between menus constantly.
Cue lists for prepared shows
The CUE LIST workspace is designed for structured show sequences. Up to five presets can be combined within a cue. Hold and fade times, as well as automatic or manual cue changes, support both carefully prepared sequences and targeted interventions during the show. A total of up to 5000 cues, 1000 cues per cue list and 100 cue lists are supported. MIDI Time Code with a definable start time for each cue list is also available.
Edit fixtures precisely
In CONTROL mode, you can select individual or multiple fixtures using the matrix and change parameters directly with the faders. Supported parameters include dimmer, colour, position, zoom, iris, focus, gobo and prism rotation. Pan and tilt can be controlled at 16-bit resolution. Selection functions for groups, subgroups, even-numbered fixtures or inverted selections make it easier to work with larger setups.
Divide groups into smaller subgroups
SUBGROUPS lets you divide any existing group into up to eight subgroups. This allows you, for example, to control different stage areas or individual elements of more complex fixtures separately. The subgroups are then available within the Wolfmix system for functions such as Flash, Solo or effects.
Customise the control surface
MAPPING lets you adapt the matrix buttons, motorised faders and encoders to your own workflow. Assignable functions include Group Dimmer, Group Solo, Group Flash, Presets, Live Edits, Macros, Manual DMX, Effects and Cue Lists. Unassigned controls can send and receive generic MIDI data, allowing you to use the device with compatible MIDI software and hardware as well.
Four DMX outputs and standalone operation
Two 3-pin and two 5-pin XLR outputs are available for DMX. Each port can be freely assigned to an available universe. WING independently supports up to four DMX universes with a total of 2048 channels; together with a W1, up to eight universes are possible. A Wolfmix W1 is initially required for setup and project synchronisation. After that, standalone operation without a computer is also possible.
Who is Wolfmix WING suitable for?
This expansion is right for you if you already work with a Wolfmix W1 and want more physical control for larger shows. Motorised faders, OLED displays and the additional button matrix provide quicker access to key functions, particularly for prepared cue sequences, larger fixture setups and frequent manual adjustments. The system also offers suitable options if you want to combine the Wolfmix workflow with MIDI control or more detailed group management.
