For DJ monitoring, one ear cup can be swivelled away so you can listen to the mix with one ear while remaining aware of your surroundings. The Sony MDR-V150 is a closed-back, dynamic headphone with swivelling ear cups for this one-ear monitoring. Its supra-aural design rests on the ears; a wide, shaped headband keeps it in place.
The 30 mm drivers use PET diaphragms and ferrite magnets. The specified frequency range is from 16 Hz to 22,000 Hz. With an impedance of 24 ohms and a sensitivity of 98 dB/mW, the headphones can be used with suitable audio sources; the maximum power handling is 0.5 W. Closed-back design and swivelling ear cups make them suitable for DJ monitoring and music playback.
The permanently attached, two-sided OFC cable is 2 m long and ends in a straight stereo combination plug.
