Product description Sennheiser LSP 500 Pro
For events without fixed power and audio cabling, quick setup is essential. The Sennheiser LSP 500 Pro is a battery-powered active 2-way PA system with three slots for ew-G3 wireless devices. It accommodates up to three wireless microphone receivers; alternatively, one slot can be used for a transmitter to send the mixed signal to additional LSP 500 Pro units.
Playback options include Bluetooth, a USB player and two wired audio inputs. The integrated mixer controls the sources separately: these include the three slots, the microphone input, AUX IN, USB and Bluetooth. This lets you combine up to three wireless microphones with playback devices. Audio files can be played back and recorded as WAV via USB; playback supports MP3, WAV, AAC and FLAC.
You can control the system over Wi-Fi using the LSP 500 PRO app on a tablet. The app functions as a mixing desk, displays the status of the loudspeakers and lets you adjust settings for individual units or jointly for up to 20 loudspeakers. To do this, the tablet and loudspeakers must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network; 2.4 GHz networks compliant with 802.11b/g, with WPA2 or no encryption, are supported. The app is optional and requires a compatible tablet.
The system can be powered by mains electricity or by the two supplied lithium-ion batteries. In battery mode, the unit automatically switches to the second battery as soon as the first runs out; the battery not in use can be replaced while the system is operating. The stated runtime is around six hours for speech. When mounted on a loudspeaker stand, the cabinet can be tilted by up to 13.5 degrees in 4.5-degree increments.
LINK IN and LINK OUT are available for sound reinforcement with multiple units; you can also use LINK OUT to connect additional equipment such as an active subwoofer. The output carries the summed signal in mono. A dedicated RIGHT-L mode is available for a stereo setup with two LSP 500 Pro units. The audio signal can also be sent to an external recording device via the RCA line output.
The LSP 500 Pro is suited to mobile sound reinforcement applications that bring together wireless microphones, playback devices and a battery-powered loudspeaker solution. App control for multiple loudspeakers, the integrated mixer and the expansion slots are particularly useful if you want to use a wireless Sennheiser ew system or operate multiple LSP 500 Pro units together.
