The Samson Go Mic Mobile transmits audio wirelessly to a smartphone or camera; the handheld set consists of a receiver and a handheld transmitter with a dynamic Q8 microphone capsule. The wireless link operates in the 2.4 GHz band and transmits the audio signal uncompressed with low latency. The receiver automatically selects a suitable radio channel; the range is up to 30 metres in line-of-sight conditions. This means your voice can still be picked up wirelessly when you move away from the camera while filming. Automatic channel selection and low latency help keep audio and video in sync.

The receiver can be attached directly to smartphones and tablets using the included mounting parts, or mounted on a camera or tripod. Connection cables for iOS and Android devices are included; cameras with an audio input can also be connected via the analogue output. USB audio and a switchable 3.5 mm output for line or headphone use are available for recording on a mobile device. The receiver has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a runtime of up to 13 hours. The handheld transmitter runs on two AA batteries and offers a runtime of up to 20 hours. You can adjust the output level to match the signal to the connected recording source; the 3.5 mm output can be switched accordingly for monitoring or analogue signal routing. Separate power supplies keep the transmitter and receiver ready for use independently of the device battery.
