Product description RCF ART 312 A MKIII

If an active speaker needs to operate without a separate power amplifier and also serve as a stage monitor when required, the RCF ART 312 A MKIII is designed for this purpose. The two-way speaker combines a 12-inch woofer with a 1-inch compression driver and reaches a maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB. Integrated digital bi-amp power amplifier and DSP handle amplification and signal processing.

The power amplifier delivers 400 W RMS or 800 W Peak/PRG. Of this, 300 W RMS is allocated to the low-frequency range and 100 W RMS to the high-frequency range. The DSP handles the crossover at 1,700 Hz, two-way equalisation and filtering; Fast and RMS limiters protect the speakers and amplifier from overload.

Combined jack/XLR inputs are provided for balanced or unbalanced microphone and line signals. A MIC/LINE switch adapts the input to the signal source. You can route the signal to another active speaker, a recording device or an amplifier via the parallel XLR output. Input with parallel XLR link makes it easier to set up a PA chain.

The high-frequency horn has a dispersion angle of 90° horizontally and 60° vertically; the frequency range extends from 45 Hz to 20 kHz. The switchable EQ offers Flat and Boost modes. Signal and limiter LEDs indicate the operating status. Enclosure suitable for use as a stage monitor complements the usual upright operation on a stand or distance pole.

The enclosure is made of polypropylene composite and has two side handles and one handle on top. It features a 35 mm stand flange and four M10 threaded mounting points; a suitable U-bracket is available as an optional extra. At 17.4 kg, the speaker remains portable and is suitable for mobile PA setups, live music and stage monitoring. Three handles and multiple mounting options make transport and positioning easier.
