When speakers are placed directly on a desk, vibrations can be transferred to the supporting surface. The IsoAcoustics ISO-L8R130 pair of stands isolates compact monitors from the surface beneath them and can be adjusted in height and tilt to suit your listening position.
The stands are suitable for medium-sized speakers, including active studio monitors as well as passive hi-fi and home cinema speakers. Their isolation design is intended to reduce the transfer of vibrations to the surrounding surface. This can help minimise the effect of desk placement on bass reproduction and spatial imaging.
With the two included tube lengths, you can choose between a low and a higher position. Combining the components gives you 14 height and tilt configurations. The speakers can be tilted up or down by up to 6.5 degrees, allowing you to aim them towards your listening position.
The frame and the components used for tilting are made of compacted plastic and steel tubes. Each stand supports speakers weighing up to 9.1 kg; the base measures 130 x 150 mm. For suitable medium-sized monitors in a studio, project studio or home studio, this pair is a practical choice if you want to adjust placement and positioning at the listening position precisely.
