Product description HK Audio Linear 5 Big Venue Pack System
Four active subwoofers and two 15-inch tops form the large-format complete PA system for live music, DJ sets and events. The HK Audio Linear 5 Big Venue Pack consists of two L5 115 FA and four L Sub 2000 A; tilt units and protective covers are also included in the set. HK Audio gives a guide figure of 500 to 600 people – the actual coverage achievable depends, among other things, on room size, layout, furnishings, area and the desired sound pressure level.
The components are matched for use together and do not require additional power amplifiers or external controllers. You can adjust gain and EQ on the tops and select the appropriate configuration on the subwoofers. The integrated controller settings handle the rest of the system tuning. For smaller applications, the tops can also be used individually.
Each L5 115 FA is bi-amped: one Class D amplifier powers the 15-inch low-mid driver, while another powers the high-frequency driver. The rotatable 60°–90° range of the asymmetrical horn allows the dispersion to be adjusted. Small Venue and High Power EQ settings are available for tonal adjustment; protection circuits and a peak limiter protect the components during operation.
The four L Sub 2000 A units deliver the low-frequency range. Their active crossover can be set to 100 or 120 Hz; subsonic filters and peak limiters are also integrated. XLR inputs, Thru outputs and Mid/High outputs make it easier to connect the tops. Four active 12-inch subwoofers form the system’s bass foundation.
The set is aimed at bands, DJs and rental companies that need a matched active system with accessories for larger events. The stated audience size is a non-binding guide figure; local conditions and the required sound pressure level are decisive. For large live and DJ setups, the combination of two tops and four subwoofers, along with the straightforward switching between system configurations, is particularly relevant.
