Product description Gemini PS-01

The Gemini PS-01 10-inch DJ mixer with three stereo channels is designed to connect multiple turntables and line-level sources to an analogue mixer. Six line inputs and three switchable phono/line RCA inputs accommodate different source devices; the master output is available via RCA and balanced 6.3 mm jack.

Each of the three switchable inputs is assigned to a channel. In phono mode, they are suitable for turntables with moving-magnet cartridges; in line mode, they are suitable for line-level devices. There are three grounding screws on the rear for grounding turntables. On channel 1, you can also select the microphone input as a source; each channel has a gain control and a 3-band EQ with a cut function.

For monitoring, select the channels using the illuminated cue buttons and adjust the headphone volume independently of the master. The Cue/Mix/PGM control blends the cue signal with the programme signal. In split mode, the cue signal is routed to one earcup and the programme signal to the other; the control must be set to the centre position for this.

The VU meter can display cue and programme separately or the left and right channels of the master output. Master and zone level controls, as well as a balance control, are provided for output. In addition to the master output for the main system, a separate zone output for a second amplifier and a record output for a recording device send the signal out.

The Rail-Glide crossfader is removable and can be replaced by the user; the detachable front panel makes it easier to access. The PS-01 is therefore suited to a compact analogue DJ setup in which multiple stereo sources, turntables, headphones and a microphone are connected to the mixer.
