When DJ mixer transitions and launching clips in Ableton Live need to come together in the same workflow, you need controls for both on one surface. The Gemini MAS-1 combines a four-channel DJ mixer with clip and scene control and an integrated audio interface.

The mixer section follows the classic DJ layout: four channels have EQ and 100 mm channel faders, along with a 45 mm crossfader. You launch scenes and clips using illuminated RGB buttons. Colour-coded controls and encoders with LED rings make assignments easier and provide software feedback on the controls.

Bend buttons, Tap BPM and direct BPM input via a rotary control are available for tempo adjustments. The loop section includes in, out and activation controls, as well as a control for loop length. Another control section can be assigned to individual software components; effects, tempo and loops remain directly accessible.

The integrated four-channel audio interface has balanced outputs and is designed to connect to DJ software. A fold-out stand tilts the device towards the operating position and gives you a better view of the surface. This makes the controller suitable for DJ sets with Ableton Live and clip-based control, where mixer workflow, tempo and loop control, and audio output are intended to come together in one device.
