If two music sources need to be available directly at the mixer, an integrated docking solution saves you from connecting additional players. The Gemini iTrax Black with two iPod docks is a 2-channel DJ mixer that plays music from two compatible Apple iPods and provides their signals for mixing.

You can manage the music library on your PC via the USB connection and dock switch. Two switchable phono/line inputs are available for additional players. You can adjust the gain and frequencies for each channel using a 3-band EQ; the cut function lets you attenuate the respective frequency ranges as needed.

The cue section lets you pre-listen to channels 1 and 2 via the headphone output. A cue fader switches between the channels. For announcements or a microphone, there is a 6.35 mm jack input with 2-band EQ and its own rotary control. The crossfader is replaceable.

The master and record outputs use RCA connections to connect to the rest of your system. 3.5 mm and 6.3 mm connections are available for headphones. A composite video output sends video signals from iPods with photo or video functionality. The black casing is slim and lightweight.

The iTrax Black suits a compact DJ setup that uses iPods as players, with phono or line devices and a microphone available to add as needed. Two dock sources and traditional inputs determine whether the connection options suit your setup.
