If you require a powerful low-frequency range for a sound system, an active subwoofer complements your tops with deep frequencies. The Gemini GVX-Sub18P combines an 18-inch woofer with an integrated amplifier and a power handling of 500 W RMS or 2,000 W peak for this purpose.

The built-in electronic crossover can be adjusted between 55 and 200 Hz. The signal reaches the subwoofer via balanced XLR inputs; XLR outputs route it further to connected speakers via either the Through or High-Pass output. This allows you to set up the signal distribution in your rig to suit the system being used.

Using the frequency control, you can adjust the transition to the tops; a phase inversion switch assists in tuning the subwoofer's position within the system. An integrated limiter is also included. The woofer operates with a 3-inch voice coil and a 62 oz magnet.

The cabinet is made of 18 mm thick MDF and features a black, textured paint finish. A perforated steel grille protects the speaker, while flush-mounted handles facilitate transport. A 35 mm pole mount is available for setting up with a top column.

The GVX-Sub18P is suitable for both mobile and permanently installed sound systems where an active 18-inch subwoofer with adjustable crossover frequency and XLR signal routing is required.
