Product description ESI SW10K eXperience

Low-frequency components can often only be assessed to a limited extent with small nearfield monitors. The ESI SW10K eXperience supplements your studio monitoring setup with an active 10-inch bass reflex subwoofer. This allows you to assess the bass range more accurately when mixing and use the system as a 2.1 monitoring setup or for 5.1 and 7.1 surround productions.

For matching with the satellites, the model has separate, adjustable crossover frequencies: one for the subwoofer and one for the satellite output. Both can be set from 50 to 250 Hz. The phase can also be adjusted, allowing you to match the transition between the subwoofer and your existing monitors to your setup.

Inputs include balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.3 mm jack connections; the monitors are connected via balanced XLR outputs. An additional footswitch input for muting allows you to mute the subwoofer with a footswitch when needed. The input impedance is 20 kOhm for a balanced connection and 10 kOhm for an unbalanced connection.

The cabinet is made of MDF and has a black high-gloss front panel. With its extension of low-frequency reproduction, the subwoofer is suitable for studio monitoring, for example in combination with the ESI nEar04, nEar06, nEar05 eXperience or nEar08 eXperience models. The separate crossover controls, phase adjustment and suitable XLR or jack connections are key to integration.
