Product description Behringer Ultragraph Pro FBQ 3102
For live and monitor paths, frequency correction and feedback detection need to be easy to follow directly on the unit. The Behringer Ultragraph Pro FBQ 3102 is an analogue 31-band stereo graphic equaliser that lets you process both channels separately and identify critical frequencies visually using the FBQ system.
Each of the 31 illuminated pairs of faders represents a frequency band between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. The control range can be switched between ±6 dB and ±12 dB. In live operation, the FBQ system helps you track down feedback: brightly lit fader LEDs indicate the affected frequency ranges, which you can then attenuate precisely.
For further signal shaping, the unit has high- and low-pass filters on both channels. The low-cut is adjustable from 10 to 400 Hz, and the high-cut from 2.5 to 30 kHz. This lets you narrow the frequency range being processed and, for example, attenuate low-frequency interference or unwanted high frequencies. An additional mono subwoofer output carries the summed signal; its crossover frequency is variable between 30 and 200 Hz.
You can monitor the input and output levels using a 12-segment LED display. The I/O meter switch lets you toggle between the input and output displays. A relay-controlled hard bypass bypasses the equaliser functions; in the event of a power failure, the safety relay automatically switches to bypass. The servo-balanced inputs and outputs also accept unbalanced signals.
XLR and 6.3 mm jack connections are provided for wiring; the XLR and jack connectors are gold-plated. Low-noise operational amplifiers, a shielded toroidal transformer, illuminated faders, ALPS detent potentiometers and illuminated switches complete the features. The metal housing requires two rack units in a 19-inch rack.
The equaliser is suitable for PA and monitor systems as well as studio setups where you want to equalise a stereo signal precisely or locate feedback frequencies. The separate 31-band controls, filters for each channel and adjustable subwoofer output are particularly useful when these functions are needed in your signal path.
