When monitoring during a recording, a closed-back design helps keep headphone sound out of the microphone. The Behringer HPM-1000 is a closed-back over-ear headphone for studio and all-round applications; its passive isolation is particularly useful when recording and listening to cue mixes.

The oval ear cups enclose the ears, while the lightweight construction and padded headband are designed for extended wear. The single-sided cable keeps the connection on one side of the headphones. The frequency response ranges from 20 Hz to 20 kHz; the high-resolution drivers are designed for audio monitoring.

With an impedance of 32 ohms, this model can be used with standard headphone outputs on mixers and audio interfaces. The 2.0 m cable ends in a 3.5 mm stereo jack; a 6.3 mm adapter is included for connection. This makes the headphones suitable for studio and DJ setups with a compatible headphone output.
