With the BOSS SY-200 guitar synthesizer pedal, you can simply leave your bulky synthesizers at home! This compact pedal is equipped with 171 sounds spread across 12 styles. With just the push of a button, you get instant access to leads, pads, strings, basses, special effects, and more.
Once you've found the right sound for your next creation, you can fine-tune the tone to perfection using the three knobs below the LCD screen.
BOSS has equipped the SY-200 with enough memory to store 128 different sounds for instant recall. The MEMORY/CTL 1 footswitch lets you flip through presets and sounds quickly and easily.
The SY-200 offers a full range of inputs and outputs to integrate this pedal directly into guitar and bass rigs of all kinds, including send/return, a CTL 2.3/EXP jack, as well as two 3.5mm MIDI jacks and a micro USB jack that allows for full MIDI support and firmware updates when connected to a computer.

Sample-Player für Gitarre
Verarbeitung BOSS-typisch einwandfrei. Noch mit Mini-USB-Stecker und ohne Editor wirkt das Gerät inzwischen etwas angestaubt.
Es ist ein Sample-Player, der Sounds aus verschiedenen Kategorien anbietet, die vom Gitarrensignal getriggert werden. Das Tracking von Anschlag und Tonhöhe ist bei entsprechend angepasster Spielweise okay.
Die Soundbeeinflussung erfolgt durch Filter. Ein Eingriff in die Soundsynthese ist nicht möglich. Damit bleibt das Soundangebot Geschmackssache.
Boss Pedal
Das SY-200 ist schon fett. Kompakt, stabil, viele Sounds. Für mein Setup als Gitarrist mit ein paar Effektloops war's einfach zu integrieren. Klar, ein paar Presets klingen eher wie 80er Gamesound, aber viele sind echt brauchbar und kreativ. Ich nutze es hauptsächlich für Layer mit meinem Clean-Sound, klappt top. Ein bisschen Einarbeitung braucht’s, aber dann geht’s ab.
Der Preis ist noch im Rahmen.
Boss SY-200
Das Boss SY-200 ist ein vielfältiger Synthesizer mit schön analog klingenden Sounds.
Es ist sehr robust (vollständig aus Metall), leicht zu bedienen (logisch und nachvollziehbar aufgebaute Bedienelemente) und lässt sich einfach gut spielen (unkompliziert und ohne zusätzliches Zubehör).
Eben einfach ein Effektgerät das Spaß macht und inspiriert.
