To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the SL-1200 series, the popular MK7 model is available in a limited edition of seven colors. All models come with a golden tonearm and feature a plaque with the serial number on the side, and come with upgraded accessories and enhanced turntable features that make DJing even more convenient.

The SL-1200 has been at the forefront of turntable technology since 1972 and has continued to evolve ever since. And with the Technics SL-1200M7L, this professional direct drive turntable has reached new heights of precision performance. The SL-1200M7L features an innovative coreless direct drive motor that provides the rotational accuracy and high torque of a conventional direct drive motor while eliminating the cause of cogging (speed fluctuations caused by motor pulses).

In classic Technics tradition, everything about the SL-1200M7L is designed for maximum sound quality, from the S-shaped aluminum tonearm to the gimbal suspension to the 2-layer platter with enhanced vibration damping. And with the ability to fine-tune starting torque and braking speed, the Technics turntable is one of the best in its class.

Experienced DJs know that the tonearm plays a big role in the sound. The SL-1200M7L features Technics' statically balanced S tonearm, which moves in a unique arc as it scans the records - designed to minimize resonance and maximize fidelity. Even during intense scratching, you can always count on maximum performance and reliability.

The SL-1200M7L turntable comes with four isolation feet, each with an internal spring and rubber to isolate the turntable from vibration. Equally important is their adjustable height and tilt, which allows the turntable to be stabilized on uneven surfaces by rotating the feet individually. Combined with the double-layer platter with improved vibration damping, the SL-1200M7L never gets out of control.
