The TLM 103 large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone impresses with its classic Neumann sound. Together with its transformerless circuitry and capsule derived from the legendary U 87, the TLM 103 delivers reliable vocal and instrument reproduction with extremely low noise.
The TLM 103 is an essential microphone for the most demanding professional studios. Thanks to its high SPL and minimal self-noise, it is used in everything from modern rock and pop productions to classical recordings.
The capsule has a flat frequency response up to about 5 kHz and a wide, flat presence boost of 4 dB above that for a silkier, smoother and more transparent sound. The large wire mesh head grille protects the capsule from plosive sounds and effectively prevents popping noises.
The microphone has excellent impulse response and reproduces the details of music and speech without coloration. Capable of handling sound pressure levels up to 138 dB without distortion, the TLM 103 offers a dynamic range of 131 dB (A-weighted).
The 25 years edition Ltd. is limited to 500 units worldwide and is delivered in a noble special color with carbon look. An engraved unit number indicates which of the 500 you can call your own.
