This device is also classified as the only necessary solution for recording, mastering and mixing. Even at very high sound levels, the excellent articulation of the bass and midbass registers makes it an unavoidable tool for engineers who claim complete transparency.

Furthermore, the design of the active Focal SM6 Twin6 Be studio monitor offers a stable tonal balance while at the same time it permits a high SPL. One of the two 6.5" woofers reproduces from 40 to 150 Hz whereas the other works in large band (midrange – bass). This crafts a bass that preserves all the signal dynamics, without any masking effect in the midrange, by keeping all its neutrality and transparency. In order to obtain a perfect mirror configuration with its mate, additional control of the bass register is accomplished by fine-tuning on the control plate on the back of the active Focal Sm6 Twin6 Be studio monitor. For being capable to respond to the space requirements of each studio, the unit can be installed vertically or horizontally.
