Akai APC Mini MKII

Akai's APC Mini Mk2 offers full control of Ableton Live in a tiny powerhouse. As with its predecessor, an 8 x 8 pad matrix takes up most of the control surface, with each of the 64 RGB-backlit buttons vividly representing the active on-screen session.

Nine multifunction sliders adorn the bottom quadrant, fully assignable for pan, mix, FX functions, and more. On the right side are buttons for launching scenes, while the bottom row can be used to manage navigation and auxiliary functions.

On the APC Mini Mk2, the larger buttons not only provide better visual feedback, but also expand the power range to accommodate a variety of groovebox-like methods. Redesigning the surrounding buttons in a polygon shape and aligning their labels with the axis drastically reduces visual clutter, allowing you to focus on what's important.

Each slider is individually assignable and feels robust yet smooth, allowing you to adjust all parameters with ease. Soft keys and dedicated shift functions allow you to seamlessly navigate menus, modes, and sounds without taking your eyes off the APC Mini Mk2.

Smart Scale View provides real-time visual feedback as you navigate through keys and scales. Notes mode offers a new approach to performance, delivering key-synced musical parts played across the pads so you're never out of time.

To fully realize the performance potential of the APC Mini Mk2, the included Mac- and PC-compatible software includes Ableton Live Lite, as well as several plug-ins from the renowned sound designers at AIR Music Technology. Their award-winning skills are explored in iconic polyphonic synthesizers with Hybrid 3, lush acoustic pianos with Mini Grand, and crisp electric keyboards with Velvet.
