Yamaha Speaker BR 15

For passive PA speakers, amplifier power, impedance, and connection routing must match. The Yamaha BR 15 is a passive 2-way speaker with a 15-inch woofer for PA systems that are operated via an external power amplifier. Its bass-reflex cabinet supports the reproduction of low frequencies; a 1-inch horn driver with a titanium diaphragm handles the highs.

The tweeter is housed in a horn with a 90° x 40° coverage angle. Two jack connectors serve as input and parallel output, allowing you to connect another speaker. When doing so, check the minimum impedance your power amplifier can handle: two 8-ohm speakers connected in parallel result in a total of 4 ohms.

The BR 15 handles 200 W noise power, 400 W program load, and 800 W peak power at a nominal impedance of 8 ohms. For operation, it can be combined, for example, with an EMX powered mixer or with an MG mixing console and a Yamaha P-Series power amplifier. With compatible EMX mixers and P-Series amplifiers, the YSP function can handle the optimisation for Yamaha speakers.

Steel corners and metal handles are designed for transport and stage use; a reinforced protective grille and a durable textile surface complement the robust construction. The integrated pole mount fits standard 35 mm speaker stands. The BR series was developed and manufactured in the USA.
