Product description Vestax Spin

For DJing with Mac DJ software, the Vestax Spin combines a controller and audio interface in one device. Two touch-sensitive jog wheels control the decks, while mixer controls and the crossfader handle transitions between tracks. The USB connection and integrated audio interface combine the computer connection and audio output.

The jog wheels respond to touch and are suitable for controlling and scratching tracks. Tempo, cue points, loops, effects and a 3-band EQ can be operated directly on the controller. Volume LEDs provide a visual indication of the levels.

The integrated sound card provides a master output for the sound system and a headphone connection for cueing. A microphone input is also included. This lets you connect master, headphones and microphone to the controller; the master and headphone connections are provided as separate stereo outputs.

The DJay software is included. Among other things, it supports the iTunes music library, automatically detects BPM values and can synchronise tracks. Cue points and loops, Automix, Auto-Gain and effects complement the deck controls. You can also record sets and export playlists as PDFs; cover artwork is displayed on the decks. MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF as well as audio CDs are supported.

For operation, the product description specifies Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later, an Intel processor with a minimum of 1.8 GHz and 1 GB RAM. The compact, lightweight controller is therefore suitable for a Mac-based DJ setup where you want to use the decks, 3-band EQ and audio interface in one device.
