Vestax Spin 2 (UK)

Simple & solid!

The Vestax Spin 2 is a solid entry-level controller, well made, good sound, and the interaction with djay for Mac works very well. I am very grateful that the entry-level software from algoriddim spgar is still running on Leopard (OS X 10.5). A bit of a shame that the current full version (djay Pro 2) does require OS X 10.11. However, in conjunction with djay Pro 2, the controller is likely to become the bottleneck. In this respect, everything is logical. Two things bother me about Spin 2: 1. The missing potentiometer to get the master in the mix with the cue on the headphones. And 2. the iOS cable, which is permanently installed on the back of the device (but for which no socket or any other space is provided). For the price you get a good package & for places where there is little space, the Spin 2 is the right controller.
