When manually shaping a DJ signal, the key is to change frequency ranges directly on the device. The Vermona Action Filter 3 is an analogue filter effect with high-pass and low-pass filters per channel. Each filter has its own Cutoff and Resonance controls, allowing you to target specific frequencies.

Depending on the routing, the filters operate in series or in parallel. This lets you use them as a band-pass or notch filter: in band-pass mode, you can isolate a frequency range; in notch mode, you can attenuate one. The toggle switches on the front panel switch the functions; their robust design is intended for frequent manual operation.

The optically operated bypass trigger is mechanically separated from the electronics. Use it to quickly switch the filter effect on and off, for example to make rhythmic changes to the signal as it plays. The Line and Phono inputs allow you to connect different audio sources; a Phono input is available for turntables. A switch-mode power supply is also part of the device's design.

This makes the filter a good fit for a DJ setup where you manually shape frequencies while mixing and switch the effect with the trigger. Separate Cutoff and Resonance controls and selectable filter routing give you direct control over the sound shaping.
